This is an oil painting of an old growth aspen grove just after a summer rain shower has passed over and the sun is beginning to peak through the passing clouds . The summer rain showers in the Gunnison Country usually pass through quickly leaving the trees, wild flowers, grass and bushes cleansed and refreshed. These rain showers at times saturate the ground resulting in water run off as depicted in this painting.
