"Old Denver & Rio Grande Railroad Station Sargents, CO."

This is an oil painting I did of the old abandoned narrow gauge Denver & Rio Grande railroad station located  

in Sargents, Colorado at the west base of Marshall Pass over the Continental Divide. Sargents is located thirty miles east of Gunnison. The station was built in 1881 and abandoned in 1955. My parents owned this property before they passed away and it has always been a special place to me. The painting is 18x24 in size on stretched canvas. NFS. This is a scene where my friends and I went parking near my home town in southern Oklahoma during our senior year of 1962. On those warm evenings we would listen to "Moon River" and other music from our era on our car radios. KRHD was the call sign for our local radio station.
